About Small Group Ministry
The projection of our church is to increase the membership between 15-20 percent annually within the next 3-5 years. We believe we will be able to achieve our goal by using the small group ministry as the main tool.
Small groups are perfect venues for connecting people within the church family, providing care, encouraging personal growth, and reaching out to others in the church and the general community. It is true that people want community, relationship, and fellowship in order to feel connected.
Small group ministry is effective and build stronger churches because they build relationships. Rick Warren said “People come to church to hear the preacher but they stay in the church because of fellowship.”
“Small groups are likened to the cells in the body. People become sick when cells in the body become unhealthy. If the cells are healthy the whole body is healthy. Healthy small groups equal healthy growing church.”
Projection
With commitment to caring and hard work, we will be able to have 45-50 small groups of 8 members (maximum) within the next 3 years. This means we will need to have 45-50 small group leaders.
Our Vision
Our small group ministry is structured to foster relationships where no one stands alone. As a unified body we will build communities within communities, so that we can more effectively reach our communities!
Our Mission
GNLC Small Groups will provide an environment for encouragement and support for all, saved and unsaved. We will build a community of spiritual formation by uniting people to come together to deepen their relationship with Christ and each other, which will also build their spiritual lives, so that all will become more like Christ.
